Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024: Schedule, Dates, Venues, Live Streaming

The Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are scheduled to play an exciting first encounter of the 2024 Women’s Premier League (WPL) in Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium on February 23. The Mumbai Indians, headed by Harmanpreet Kaur, won the championship title last year by defeating the Delhi Capitals, coached by Meg Lanning. This is the league’s second season.

Similar to previous year, the WPL 2024 season will span from February 23 to March 17 and include five teams playing a total of 22 matches. This season’s matches will be played in Bengaluru and Delhi, as opposed to the previous season’s fixtures, which were staged in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

The 11 games will be contested between the 2 main venues, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In all, 20 matches will take place in the league stage. The elimination and championship rounds will thereafter take place. While the second and third-placed teams will play each other in the Eliminator, the club that finishes first in the league standings will get a direct trip to the finals.

A noteworthy modification to WPL 2024 is the elimination of doubleheader matches, with a single match scheduled each day for the tournament’s 24-day duration. The final will be held in Delhi on March 17th, with the eliminator scheduled on March 15th.

The toss will take place at 7:00 PM IST for each WPL 2024 match, with the live action starting at 7:30 PM IST thereafter.
